So today was actually the best day of the camp. it was the day where the camp fire event was held. what happens in the camp fire is that, the volunteers light the sticks and stones and create a bonfire. not only that, we also get to eat tasty food. we were supposed to assemble in the auditorium at 5:45 exact for some function and instructions. me and my friends assembled there. so, when we reached there we saw every body wearing jeans, stylish shirts, torn pants, torn jeans and what not. me and Raunak looked like flood victims over there. so we ran back to the room and quickly changed our clothes in 30 seconds. when we reached the auditorium, we saw four singers on the stage. they started playin music. a few people started dancing and then the entire camp was dancing. i was affected by dance-a-phobia. 3 fair lookin girls looked at me pulled me up and told me to dance. and there you go Michael Jackson was reborn…except a mj with a broken leg. so that was also one of the days i enjoyed

What happened in the days that followed
look, not to sound rude or anythin but im sick and tired of writing what happens in the morning. because you guys might probalbly be knowin by reading the other entries. You must be knowing that the players of any sport have to be physically and mentally prepared. WELL IN THE CAMP…THATS NOT THE CASE.MY COACHES COME TO ALL THE ROOMS AND TELL US THAT THERE IS A MATCH TOMORROW AROUND 9. AND I LOST IT.I GOT THE CHILLS OF MY ENTIRE LIFE. IM PLAYING AGAINST AN ACTUAL CLUB by the name of ‘Barcelona youth. I was fighting, bawling and crying……in my mind.
i had many questions in my mind-
1) what if i cant keep properly?
2) what if my teammates start hating me
3)what will my coach think of me?
4)what if my hands break?
5) [one of the most weirdest question ….
what if i have to go to the bathroom during the match.
We reached the ground around 7 or something. we left the ground to go get breakfast.and imagine…out of 32 people in the canteen, there is one person with a really hot and tensed face..oh and I forgot..a constipated face.yep, thats me. Everybody was taking shots at me and I coulnt save it. This clumsy attitude of a keeper humiliated and demotivated me.the match started off with our team with the kick off. within seconds of the games opening , I saw one of the opponents striker rushing at me, I ran towards him and ended it right there. the player was injured and i had to save a penalty. during the penalty..the striker lunged foward and took a shot ..I looked at his foot movements and dived towards the right. and I somehow saved it. due to the teams effort…we won 3-1. after going back to the room..my roommates told me about rumours of people calling me the spider. I asked them why and they told me that I saved many shots as if I had 8 legs. This is how today was an amazing day.
Wonderla
we boarded the bus around 10:05. they played songs throughout the ride and especially jb songs.we went to a lot of rides after reaching wonderla. We went to a ride called twister. This was one such ride which had had a long pole with 2 seats.the pole would move at its full speed. oh you think that was it…. the seats would also rotate along the pole. zack also had lost his wrist band which had access to the locker where we kept our belongings. we went to the lost and found section and had it blocked. We also went to a lot of water rides. We also went to something called rain disco. So its actually you dancing in the rain which is sprayed from the top and you dancing to songs. that was the first time in my life I actually enjoyed dancing. My genius friends went to the control room and changed the music from good to bad. They put jutin bieber songs. I wanted to smash the door open and run out of wonderla. but my friends forced me to dance to that. all i can say is that wonderla was really exciting place to go to.
note- nothing major happened from 9th to 15th. but these are the memorable moments
1) 10th may
waking up at 12 to wish my dad happy birthday
2) 12th may
waking up at 12 to wish my mum mothers day
3)13th or 14th
one of my iconic saves which earned me the nickname la arana which means the spider in spanish
4) 15th
playing in the rain
Edag Dag…Edag Vroom
Ok, Well.. I have no idea what the title means, but I just typed it out cos it was catchy.
I’ll be writing about my experiences in the 19-day Summer camp I went to :
Chapter 1 (first day at @grassrootjgi)
The Recruit
Mom and Dad came to JIRS [jain international residential school] to drop me. they helped me get my ID CARD. We had lunch and they dropped me here. I gave each one of them a very tight hug and went to my room. My room is kinda big with 3 beds with 1 fan on top of each bed, one balcony, 2 bathrooms. I made 3 new friends…. Zakk, Mohd Aryan,Raunak. we went to the football ground for training.

We went to the football ground for training. We had many fun exercises. I thought the days from now would be very exciting…
Chapter Two- May Day (even though its May 2nd)
I thought it would be like May 01, but no! it wasnt. The fitness training starts around 0600 hrs and goes on till 0700. and OMG! how difficult it was! They made us do every damn thing/ Squats, Push-ups and what not! My thighs were so tight and stiff, I couldnt bend my legs or walk properly. Oh! and I forgot, my coaches were Harris Sir (professional footballer), Jigme Sir (Professional footballer). We had to introduce ourselves thrice so that we remembered each others names properly. Like, I do a Ronaldo celebration and simultaneously tell my name. I returned to my room, called my parents. I was really homesick. After a while, we went to play basketball and I have no idea how people even play that game, I really am not into basketball and don”t know the concepts. We returned to the room and went for lunch and then to the football field at 4 pm. This routine continued. We had a few drills and exercises. I spoke to my parents for along time that night and gave them a virtual kiss and hug and went to bed.
the routine for the next few days was going to be like this…-
5:15 – 5:30_ wake up call
5:30- 7:00_Deadly fitness
7:00- 9:15_ football training
9:15- 10:15_healthy breakfast
10:15- 11:15_ rest time
11:15- 1:00_ recreational activity[ zumba, yoga, other sports]
1:00- 2:oo_ lip- smackin lunch
2:00- 4:00_ rest-time
4:00- 6:30_ football training
6:30- 7:30_ fresh’n up
7:30- 8:30_ elaborate dinner
8:30- 10:30_ the two hours where i used to have fun with my roommates
10:45_ LIGHTS OUT.
Chapter 3- The day I cried
The day started off with fitness as usual, I was bored… I didnt pay attention and got yelled at by the coach, i conceded goals and was morose.. ran back to my room crying and spoke to my mom. She gave me a pep talk that pushed me out of my depression. We did yoga and I learnt of an Asana called Shavasan, where I had to just sleep:) The day ended better than it had begun, We got real skills training and goalkeeping training for the first time in the evening session of football coaching.
Chapter 4- I was to engrossed that i couldnt remember what happened 🙂
Chapter 5- The canteen adventure
YEAH, as usual the fitness, then football training . Todays recreational activity was ‘Zumba ,which I dreaded!!!! But my mom forced me to go saying that my friends would all go, but ZaKk and Raunak too were very reluctant to come. They told me to lock the door from outside so that nobody would suspect that they bunked. I snitched to the volunteers that they had bunked and they got dragged for the activity. And believe it or not, we had a lot of fun. We had lunch, took rest and went for football. During dinner, Raunak started singing Justin Bieber songs… ugggh and I hate JB songs! He ran behind me, dropping his food all over and I almost fell face down into the garbage bin.
FOOTBALL/ SOCCER

WHAT’S THE GAME ALL ABOUT????
Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played with a ball between two teams of eleven players. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries , making it the world’s most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field called a pitch with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing goal.
Players are not allowed to touch the ball with hands or arms while it is in play, except for the goalkeeper within the penalty area. Other players mainly use their feet to strike or pass the ball, but may also use any other part of their body except the hands and the arms. The team that scores most goals by the end of the match wins. If the score is level at the end of the game, either a draw is declared or the game goes into extra time or a penalty shootout depending on the format of the competition. Association football is governed internationally by the International Federation Of Association Football [Fédération Internationale de Football Association), which organises World Cups for both men and women every four years.

There are two types of punishments given to the players if they defy the laws of the game of football.

The cold feeling runs through your spine to all parts of the body when you perform an
unnecessary tackle to one of the other team member and you hear a *BEEP*

There are many possibilities if you are given a yellow card
A FREEKICK

The yellow card suspends you from playing the next game with your team that is, even if you are the key player
THE RED CARD
You know that you are done for, everytime the referee blows the whistle. You think, ” oh no! what card am I gonna get now?! If you are lucky by gods grace, then you get a yellow card but if you perform a brutal tackle…..hooo boyy you are in for a treat!!! You get a get a red card which suspends you for 3 games.
